Performers
David Bouchier, Narrator, is the award winning essayist for National Public Radio Stations WSHU and WSUF.  He hosts the Sunday afternoon program "Sunday Matinee" on these stations.  He is the author of three books of essays about life in America and France.  Born in London, Mr. Bouchier has performed in several works with the North Shore Pro Musica including Stravinsky's "Soldier's Tale," Walton's "Facade," and Seales' "Practical Cats."

Paul Cesarczyk, Guitar, was born in Poland.  He is a recipient of numerous international awards, including the Andres Segovia Award and ASCAP's Aaron Copland Award.  Recently he was featured soloist in the Naumberg Orchestral Series in Central Park.  He is a member of the Manhattan Guitar Quartet.

Dimitri Dover, Piano, is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, where he received a Master's Degree and the Graduate Performance Diploma.  There he was twice honored with performances at the Peabody Commencement ceremony and was awarded two prizes in accompanying.  Mr. Dover has been a fellow at the Tanglewood and Aspen summer festivals.  He is a graduate of Harvard University where he performed extensively as a concert soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician.  His performances this season include a recital with cellist Caitlin Sullivan at Weill Hall in New York City and concerts in Boston with the Arcturus Chamber Ensemble.  This is his first season with the North Shore Pro Musica.

Margery Fitts, Harp, studied at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Oregon, and the Aaron Copeland School of Music, where she earned her Masters Degree.  She has performed widely with such groups as the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the New York Virtuosi, the Long Island Philharmonic, the Queens Symphony, the Choral Society of the Hamptons, Canta Libre, and Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional of the Domincan Republic.  Ms. Fitts has also played in Broadway orchestras for Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and the Beast, and Gypsy and in the Josh Groban and Paul Potts orchestras.

Ray Furuta, Flute, has performed throughout the United States and Europe at venues such as the Liszt Academy of Music, the Chopin Conservatory, and Dvorak Hall.  He has held principal positions in the Sarasota Music Festival Orchestra, the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra, the UCSB Symphony, and the UCSB Ensemble for Contemporary Music, and was a prize winner of the 2008 Long Beach Music Festival, the 2008 San Diego Flute Guild Competition, and the 2007 UCSB Concerto Competition.  Mr. Furuta has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Jon Nakamatsu, Charles Neidich, Dante Anzolini, George Manahan, David Benoit, John Perry, and Robert Koenig.

Angel Hsiao, flute, is a graduate of the Conservatoire Royal de Musique in Brussels, Belgium, where she received a diploma in Flute Performance with distinction.  She has received her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at SUNY, Stony Brook.  Among her many prizes is the Stony Brook 2009 Concerto Competition and the first prize in the New York Flute Club Competition in 2008.

Terry Keevil, Oboe, has performed with the Bach Aria Group and played Principal Oboe with Lazar Gosman's Tchaikovsky Orchestra.  In addition to the North Shore Pro Musica, he is a member of the Tranfiguration Ensemble and Principal Oboe with Sinfonia Pacifica Chamber Orchestra.  Well known as a free-lance musician in the NewYork and Boston areas, Dr. Keevil received a DMA degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he was a pupil of Ronald Roseman and Steve Taylor.  He has a private teaching studio in Stony Brook, NY.

Andy Lin, Viola, has Bachelors and Masters degrees from Julliard and is currently a doctorate degree candidate at Stony Brook University of New York where he is studying with Katherine Murdock and Lawrence Dutton.  He is the winner of numerous competitions in his native Taiwan and in the United States, including the Taiwanese National Viola Competition and the 2008 Julliard Viola Concerto Competition, where he was awarded first prize.  He has performed chamber music with Itzhak Perlman at Manhattan Synagogue, Princeton University, Lincoln Center, and the NY Metropolitan Museum.

Emanouil Manolov, Violin, made his debut playing on Bulgarian National television.  Since then, he has performed in concerts throughout his native Bulgaria, Germany, and the US.  His many solo recitals include appearances at the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian, and on the Barge Music series.  Mr. Manolov received his Bachelor's Degree from the Eastman School of Music and is currently a candidate for a Doctorate at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  This is his second season with North Shore Pro Musica.

Elisabeth Palmedo, Soprano, is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and has performed widely thoughout the United States and China.  She made her debut at Carnegie Recital Hall and has performed on the BBC, WNYC, and WQXR in programs of song.  She has been involved in first performances of the music of Willard Roosevelt and John Lessard, among others.  A founding member and now director of the North Shore Pro Musica, Ms. Palmedo is particularly interested in the chamber music repertoire.

Annette Perry, Cello, received he Bachelor's  and Master's of Music from the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she was a student of Timothy Eddy.  She has also studied with Nina Manuelian, Ruth Alsop, and Stephen Kates.  Ms. Perry has performed extensively on Long Island where she is active as a teacher specializingin the Suzuki method.

Luiza Raab-Portecorvo, Horn, was born in Poland, and holds a double major degree in horn and piano performance from the Chopin National Music Academy in Warsaw and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the SUNY at Stony Brook.  She has performed with orchestras throughout Europe and Asia, including the Jeunesses Musicales in Salzburg, the Trinity Chamber Orchestra in London, and the Narvic Peace Symphony Orchestra in Norway.  Ms, Raab-Pontecorvo currently serves on the faculty at Hofstra University as both horn and piano professor, and conducts the Hofstra Horn Choir.  She performs on Broadway and works with many music companies, including Patchogue and Smithtown Theaters, the Albany Symphony, and the Staten Island Philharmonic.  She is a founder of Maestri di Musica, Inc., an education- and performance-oriented organization in NY.

Daniel Schlosberg, Piano, took his Bachelor and Master degrees from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.  He received his doctorate at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he was a pupil of Gilbert Kalish.  Currently Dr. Schlosberg is a member of the faculty at Notre Dame University.

Craig Vandewater, Bassoon, studied with Arthur Weisberg and holds degrees from both SUNY Stony Brook and Yale University.  He is a member of the Nassau Symphony, and he has been the Principal Bassoonist of the Lancaster Festival Orchestra in Ohio and a member of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp of Twin Lake, Michigan.

Elena Yarritu, Flute, Piccolo, has performed extensively in the San Francisco Bay area, New York, the Netherlands, and Eastern Europe.  She made her debut at Weill as a recipient of the Artists International Award, and she performs regularly with a number of groups, including the Astralis Woodwind Quintet, the Contemporary Chamber Players, and the Baroque Ensemble.  Ms. Yarritu heads the undergraduate flute study program at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Olga Zilboorg, Cello, began her studies in her native Mexico City with Imre Hartman, cellist of the renowned Lener String Quartet.  She made her professional debut at the age of 13, playing a Vivaldi Concerto with the Fine Arts Orchestra of Mexico City.  She later studied at the University of Kansas with Raymond Stuhl, and received a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music where her teacher was Bernard Greenhouse.  Ms. Zilboorg toured major European cities as a recitalist, and was active in New York as a cellist in The American Symphony and many other distinguished ensembles.  One of the founding members of the North Shore Pro Musica, she has been active both as a teacher and performer on Long Island for many Years.  She is on the faculty of the Stony Brook University Community Music Program and teaches privately in Prt Jefferson, NY.
